Repetition is when patterns are used to make art seem active.
Rhythm is when the elements fit together to make the picture active and have an organized movement.
A shape is a closed line that can be geometric and flat.
A space is the area between or around objects which is called negative space.
Texture can be felt and seen which include hard, soft smooth, fuzzy, or rough.
Emphasis is when it catches the attention of the viewer mostly because of size, shape, or color.
Pattern is a repeating object or shape in a picture.
Proportion is when all objects are used well together and look normal.
Variety is using several elements to guide the viewer's eye though the picture.
Unity is the sense of completeness and all the objects are connected.
